New Tarantula Species Have Been Discovered


In eastern Brazil nine new tarantula species have been discovered.

With this addition to Brazil there are now sixteen species total. The new species are all tree dwelling spiders from the jungles of Central and Eastern Brazil. The new discoveries include the four smallest tree dwelling tarantulas ever found. These new species are densely populated in areas that are suffering from human activities researchers have said. The new discovery of these species where published in the Eureka Alert web site.
